Additional remarks According to Bloys van Treslong Prins (1919), the monument was originally inscribed with the following text: "MCCCLXVI die XXIII mensis Marcii obiit dominus Baldewinus de Sterkenborch [...] episcopus" (1366, the 23rd day of the month of March, died sir Boudewijn van Sterkenborch [...] bishop). Bloys based this transcription on a manuscript by M.L. van Hangest d'Yvoy (late 18th century).
