Provenance
Provenance The slab was discovered in 1887 during diggings in the church of IJhorst. Given that the inscription mentions "this convent" it is however more likely that the slab was originally located in the abbey of Dickninge, of which Schepelar was abbot. The remnants of the abbey were demolished in 1672.
