Specification The original Latin inscription in the cartouche was replaced by a Dutch inscription for Berber Gerrits Ursinga in 1758. The allied arms in the centre were hacked away. Furthermore, parts of the inscription along the edge and heraldry in the corners were painted black, presumably in order to increase the visibility of worn parts (but thereby making the heraldry unidentifiable).

Transcription Munde immunde, vale.
Translation
English translation Goodbye, unclean world. Your hasty gifts may perform something, yet whatever you give is robbed in a moment by unexpected death. Look, she who is called blessed not only by her name, is now covered by a stone like dust and a thin shadow.
Dutch translation Onreine wereld, vaarwel.
