Transcription Anno Domini 1554 ipso die Michaelis obiit eximie probitatis vir dominus et liberalium artium magister Harmanus a Cruchten vicarius huius altaris et rector scholarum, cuius anima requiescat in pace.
Translation
English translation In the year of the Lord 1554 on the feast day of Michael died a man of outstanding righteousness, sir and master in the liberal arts, Herman van Cruchten, chantry priest of this altar and school rector, whose soul may rest in peace.
Dutch translation In het jaar des Heren 1554 op de feestdag van Michaƫl stierf een man van uitzonderlijke rechtschapenheid, heer en meester in de vrije kunsten, Herman van Cruchten, vicaris van dit altaar en schoolrector, wiens ziel moge rusten in vrede.
