Additional remarks Anna de Ligne de Barbansson was the bastard daughter of Jean de Ligne, Stadholder of Groningen, Friesland, Drenthe and Overijssel. She married Johan van Ballen on 7 November 1564. Anna's last will was drawn up in Groningen on 5 September 1565 and signed by parish priest Johannes Eelts and seven witnesses. She died in 1565. The second wife of Johan van Ballen was Willem Mulert, who was also buried in the Martinikerk in Groningen.
