Additional remarks Huybert Tsiongen (or Siongen) probably came from Steensel where other members of his family are documented. He was born in or around 1514. He is first recorded in 's-Hertogenbosch in 1556 and in 1574 he committed manslaughter there after a night of drinking with another priest and a local bellfounder. He held a benefice in the church of St John from at least 1568, probably linked to the altar of St Andrew near which he was buried.
