Additional remarks Little is known about the priest Marcelis van Roy. In 1534/5 he became an ordinary member of the Illustrious Confraternity of Our Lady. A mention in 1552 of him being a ‘capittelair’ probably means he had a benefice in St John's church in 's-Hertogenbosch.
