Short history of the building stages <1400: The first Gothic church was constructed in the fourteenth century. <1500: The church was significantly enlarged in the fifteenth century, and a tower constructed. 1640-1644: Restoration of the church after war damage. 1810: The spire was removed to make place for a semaphore. 1843: Restoration, addition of Neo-Classicist elements. 1928: Collapse of the roof of the nave. 1930-1932: Restoration of the choir and transept. The nave was left in ruins.
