Additional remarks
Additional remarks • Two patron saints are depicted on the left-hand side of the sculpture (see Saint Portraits); two unknown saints are depicted on the right-hand side. • See also MeMO Memorial Object ID 3832: 'Floor slab of Johan van Meer junior'. The latter was a canon and treasurer at the St. Walburgiskerk (St Walburg’s Church) in Zutphen and died in April 1502, according to the inscription on his slab. The Johan van Meer who is commemorated in this sculpture was also a canon and treasurer at the St. Walburgiskerk, but he died in April 1503. It is therefore unclear whether it concerns the same person.
