Completeness • Incomplete: the central panel has been cut down on the sides. The wings have been cut down at the top, which accounts for the missing head of the angel on the exterior right wing and the missing head of the Virgin on the exterior left wing. The interior wings may originally have shown heraldry (depicted above the portraits).• The religious image may have been accompanied by a memorial text and heraldry on the frame and/or a separate text panel.
