English translation In the year of the Lord 1449 on the 21st day of the month of October died the venerable man, sir Simon van Oostende, canon of this church, buried here. Pray for him.
Dutch translation In het jaar des Heren 1449 op de 21ste dag van de maand oktober stierf de eerbiedwaardige man, heer Simon van Oostende, kanunnik van deze kerk, hier begraven. Bid voor hem.
