The part of the chronicle about Holland is partly replaced by the chronicle of the so-called Clerc uten laghenlanden. Continued until 1467, with supplements until 1494.

Additional remarks The Clerc wrote a chronicle in Dutch dedicated to count of Holland Willem VI (who ruled 1404-1417). He has been identified with a number of people, but the three that are considered most likely are Laurens van Overvest, Willem Eggert and Dirc Potter. Verbeij-Schillings favours Overvest, Timpener argues Dirc Potter fits the profile best.

Filiation Ca. 1393 the Chronographia by Johannes de Beke with continuations was translated in Dutch (it is unknown which Latin manuscript was used). This Dutch chronicle was copied in a large number of manuscripts and it was also continued in different versions. The chronicle by the Clerc is passed down in six manuscripts.
