Additional remarks According to the website of the Muiden church, the depicted saints can be identified as, from left to right: St Mary Magdalene (with ointment jar), St Paul (with sword) and St Simon the Zealot (with saw). The portrayed person appears to kneel before St Mary Magdalene. Considering the composition, the saints either constitute the main image or were originally part of a larger ensemble in which they acted as patron saints of the portrayed person.
