Additional remarks • Caroll (1987) identifies the female saint as St Elizabeth of Portugal, who carries the same attributes as St Dorothea but whose legend would better fit the iconographic programme of the polyptych. The saint hands a basket of flowers (?) over to a little boy. • St Martin is depicted in his capacity as a bishop, with a bishop's mitre and crosier. • The top of the wing is executed in grisaille.
