Additional remarks The triptych was originally located in an unknown institution in Amsterdam, the hometown of the portrayed persons. It may have been the house altar mentioned in Pompejus' will, dated 1532. It is described as 'his best picture of Adam and Eve' (zyne beste tavereel van Adam ende Eva), and it is left to his eldest son Sybrant Occo (1514-1587). See literature: Meuwissen (Zwolle 2014).
