Relation specification Probably more than two generations of a family. The portraits are depicted in a band below the religious scene, on the left and right. The exact number of commemorated persons is difficult to determine since the portraits are badly faded. The left-hand side probably shows a married couple with two children, the right-hand side appears to show two married couples with a total of three (?) children.

Conservation There is some discussion as to when this wall painting was whitewashed. Prins-Schimmel (1989) suggests that the painting was already covered in the 17th century, then was uncovered, to be whitewashed again in the 19th century. Most scholars, however, believe that the painting was not whitewashed until the 19th century. The painting was uncovered and restored during church restorations in 1977-1985.
