Translation
English translation I, who formerly was the famous hero Johan Schwartzenberg, a native of Franconia in the Empire, lie here dead, and with me lies my lovely wife from the nobility of the Grombach family. During my life, I bore arms and, following the army camp with emperor Charles, I have gained worthy victories in Italy. Now, fate calls me hither and a convenient grave preserves me in Beetgum, with hope, with rest and with faith.
