Translation
English translation Grave of the generous and venerable man, sir Johan Zelbach, chantry priest of this church, who died on February 18 in the year 1560. Pray for him.
Dutch translation Graf van de edelmoedige en eerbiedwaardige man, heer Johan Zelbach, vicaris van deze kerk, die stierf op 18 februari in het jaar 1560. Bid voor hem.

Specification He was chantry priest of the St. Maartenskerk/Domkerk (St Martin’s Church/Dom Church) in Utrecht. Furthermore, he was warden of the relics of St Martin of Tours: he was in charge of the poor-boxes and the sale of indulgences. Due to 'indecent' behaviour in 1547, Zelbach was deprived of this office. In 1557 he was once again appointed as warden.
